Guests from Nepal in Vladimir Russia30 Oct 2017 rotary club Vladimir hosted guests from Nepal. Ten members of the Rotary Club of Patan West, headed by the Club President Mr. Chandeshwor Shrestha. Rotarians from Nepal was accompanied by Roshen Pokharell, who is the Governor Assistent for Moscow area. Was discussed the establishment of friendly relations between the two clubs within the International Committee (ICC) of district 2220. Communication of the representatives of Russia with the Rotarians of Nepal began in 2015, when after the devastating earthquake in Nepal, the Russian Rotarians initiated a global project for the restoration of destroyed maternity hospital in Nepal's capital city Kathmandu. The parties expressed mutual interest in further development of friendly relations. Nepal friends invited members of the club Vladimir to participate in the conference of rotary district 3292 Nepal-Bhutan, which will be held in February 2018. (Photo album Oct!)
25 October 2017, the representatives of rotary clubs "Vladimir" and "Ivanovo" had meeting in Vladimir. They discussed the plan of continuing the project "Breath of Air" in cooperation with the Swiss rotary clubs. According to the project "Breath of Air" standard, the club that sent more children to Switzerland in the previous year, the next year passes priority to another rotary club, sending a few kids from his region, maintaining the proportion of 8 and 17. Thus, 25 children will spend two weeks from 7 to 22 July 2018 in the Swiss Alps, including 17 people from Ivanovo and 8 from Vladimir.
Reminded that according to this rule in 2016 17 children from Vladimir and 8 children from Nizhny Novgorod went to Swiss in the frame of the project "Breath of Air". (Photo album Oct!)

On December 20'2013 in Plios Ivanovo region was held meeting of the Rotary club Vladimir Board with the initiative group from the town of Kostroma. The organizing Rotary club in Kostroma was discussed.
The initiative group members declared the will to organize the Rotary club. The Rotary club Vladimir Board members acquainted the friends from Kostroma with the Rotary International principles and rules, the Rotary Fund, told about their projects.

During the year in Kostroma there will be a satellite club of the Rotary club Vladimir. Some meetings will be held together, for further acquaintance with the history, principles and particularities of rotaryan movement in the world.
On August 8'13 District 2220 Governor Evgeniy Novoselov visited Rotary club Vladimir. He inspected works on the Matching Grant project for the children's Playground on the territory of the «State Special Boarding school type IV, in Vladimir». Then he participated the Club Body meeting. At the club meeting Evgeniy Novoselov presented Paul Harris Fellow certificate to Galina Lavrova.
The same day Vladimir was visited by Rotarians from Russian Rybinsk and from Italy. Vladimir Rotarians shawed them around Vladimir and Suzdal telling about ancient Russian history.
On July 1'13 Rotary club Vladimir received nine guests from Sister Cities Association of Sarasota. Beth Ruyle and Craig Hullinger, Dr. Richard and Betty Greenspan, Richard and Viki Swenson, Dr. Fred Bloom, Dr. Alexander and Yulia Gaukhman were invited by Vladimir City Administration and spent in Vladimir several days.
Taking into consideration the long and close friendly relations between Rotarians of Vladimir and Sarasota guests from Sister City attended Vladimir Rotary club meeting, during which the president rotation procedure took place. Alexander Shinkovich entered on President's duties, and Elena Baklanova entered on Secretary's duties. (See photo report)

On May 31, 2013 our club was visited by Mr. Reiner Chornschield from Erlangen – Germany, and Mss. Hsieh Chia-Chien from Taipei Taiwan. Chia-Chien is the active Youth Exchange member of the Pie An Rotary Club of Taipei, Taiwan District 3520. A few days she stayed at the Russian family, her main purpose was to practice Russian. Chia-Chien speaks English fluently, but we tried to give her no chance using it. Nevertheless she caught the chance to switch from Russian – Reiner proved to spick fluently Chinese. The meeting was kept in the easy and humor full conditions. Chia-Chien presented the Chinese cultural traditions.
